The Jensen family dreamhouse
Out of the design proposal you have been handed over, you shall make a house for the Jensen family that consists of 4 persons; a father, mother and two children. The boy is 5 and the girl is 7 1/2 years old.
They want a winged house that is approx 140 m2
- The house must contain:
- 2 children's rooms
- 1 bedroom
- kitchen/diningroom
- livingroom
- utility room for drying clothes
- bathroom
- guest toilet
The house must contain a bricked outer wall and partitions. The back wall shall be made of light concrete. (notice that the complete wall shall be a minimum of 408mm thick).
Roof: Trusses with tile. The house shall be as maintenance free as possible.
Internaly there has to be wooden floor in the living room. Quarry tiles in the kitchen, utility room and hallway. In the children's rooms and bedroom there must be carpets.
The house can have overhang if you think there are benefits from this - substanstiate for this in your rapport/blog.
Your drawings must contain:
- 1 site plan
- 1 floor plan
- 1 sectional drawing
- 4 facades (north, south, east and west.

The rapport: NOTICE: your report is your blog and counts for 50% of your grade.
The blog must contain your choice of:
The most important parameter in the district plan.
The house placement on the site.
interior decorations.
Materials (at least 4 materials must be selected and compared with something similar, then you choose and and give a reason why.
A plan for the schedule (timeplan/log book.)
It is expected that the house must obey all the current rules regarding building regulations and current district plan.
The floor plan must contain:
- interior decoration with fixed interior
- room designation (bedroom, livingroom, kitchen etc.
- room size
- Outer measurement (there must be more measurements than showned on the plan, Pillar measurements and hool measurements).'
- Interior measurements (there must be more measuremnts than showned on the plans, among other things room measurements).
- Emergency exits.

- Measurements of doors.
- free space in kitchen
- drawing of outer wall construction (isolation and bricks)
- Title block (name, scale, date, project name, title)

- Contour shall be plotted at the ridge, upper edge, lower edge of windows and doors, footing and terrain.
- 4 facades (North, South, East, West) under each drawing there must be indicated wich facade it is.
- Placement of windows (marked with handle)
- Emergency openings (R)
- Placements of outer doors
- Title block (name, scale, date, project name, title)
- Hatch of wall
- There must NOT be drawings of trees and humans as showned!!
Site plan must contain:
- The plot sketched up
- The house placed on ground
- Measurements to boundary/neighbor
- Ambient roads
- Existing buildings on the plot (if there is any?)
- Driveway to the plot
- North arrow
- Signature explanation
- Plot ratio
- Plot number
- Plantation/pavement
- Title block (Name, scale, date, project name, title)
Subscription list must contain:
